Will they see my number?

Choose where your phone number is from and where you're calling. You'll get an honest answer straight away, based on each country's rules.

Pick both countries to see the answer.

The rule of thumb

Number from another country: usually shown

A UK number calling Pakistan, or a Spanish number calling Morocco, normally reaches the other phone with your number on it. Some networks add an “International” label.

Number calling its own country from abroad: often hidden

India, Spain, Germany, the UAE and UK landlines block or hide these calls to fight scams. US numbers calling the US are the exception and usually show.

Questions

Will the person I call see my number?

Usually, when your number is from a different country than the one you're calling. Your call goes out with the number you verified, but the networks on the route decide whether it is displayed, so no calling service can guarantee it.

Why is my number hidden when I call my own country from abroad?

Many countries now filter calls that arrive from abroad but present a local number, because scammers fake local numbers. India, Spain and Germany block or hide them, UK landline numbers are blocked, and UK mobiles are expected to show as withheld from about mid-2027.

Which numbers show most reliably?

A number from the country you live in, calling family or businesses in another country. US numbers calling the US are also a strong case, because the call is carried inside the US.
