Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 6, 2026
At EzyRing, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it when you use our browser-based international calling service.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you register, we collect your email address and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text).
Payment information: Credit card and billing details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store your full card number, CVC, or expiration date on our servers.
Caller ID: If you verify a phone number for caller ID, we store that number to enable the feature.
Call metadata: We store Call Detail Records (CDRs), including the destination number, call duration, timestamp, and cost, for billing and your call history dashboard.
Technical data: We collect IP addresses, browser type, and device information for security, fraud prevention, and service improvement.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and operate the calling service
- To process payments and maintain your credit balance
- To display your caller ID to call recipients
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, security alerts)
- To prevent fraud and abuse
- To improve service quality and fix technical issues
3. Call Data and Recordings
EzyRing routes voice calls via secure Twilio servers using WebRTC encryption. We do not record the audio content of your calls. We only store call metadata (CDRs) for billing and your dashboard. Call audio is transmitted in real-time and is not stored on our servers.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third-party marketers. We only share data with the following trusted service providers, strictly to operate EzyRing:
- Stripe — Payment processing (PCI Level 1 certified)
- Twilio — Telephony infrastructure and call routing
- Vercel — Website hosting
We may also disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of EzyRing, our users, or the public.
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. For full details, see our Cookie Policy.
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- Bcrypt password hashing with salting
- Strict Content Security Policy (CSP) headers
- HSTS preloading for enforced HTTPS
- Role-based access control for internal systems
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data and call history for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g., billing records for tax purposes).
8. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
- Portability — Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — Object to certain processing of your data.
- Do Not Sell — We do not sell personal data. California residents have this right under CCPA; we comply by default.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].
9. Children's Privacy
EzyRing is not intended for use by children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a child under 18 has created an account, we will delete it promptly.
10. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Our service providers (Stripe, Twilio, Vercel) operate globally and may transfer data to servers in the United States or other countries. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
